An Alabama Department of Insurance Internship is a great way to engage in career exploration and strategic career planning in insurance regulation. Students can gain
marketable on-the-job experience and build valuable professional connections. Internships can put you on the right path to future professional achievement and success
and help jumpstart your career by giving you a competitive edge in career exploration.
An intern may be hired full-time, part-time, hourly, or semi-monthly. The intern may co-op (work a semester and then attend school a semester) or work during holidays and
summers. To qualify, students must be enrolled full-time in an accredited four-year or two-year college or university and have a declared major, such as Insurance, Finance,
Business Administration, Accounting, or other specialized degree. Documentation of enrollment must be provided. Internships may be paid or unpaid, and students can earn
academic credit as part of their education.
