Notice is hereby given that the
public hearing originally scheduled for February 20, 2019, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Central Time, on Thursday, March 21, 2019, in the offices of the
Alabama Department of Insurance, 201 Monroe Street, RSA Tower, Fifth Floor
Conference Room, Montgomery, Alabama, to consider the acquisition of control of
National Security Insurance Company and National Security Fire & Casualty
Company, both Alabama-domiciled insurers and wholly-owned subsidiaries of National
Security Group, Inc., and Omega One Insurance Company, Inc., an
Alabama-domiciled insurer and wholly-owned subsidiary of National Security Fire
& Casualty Company, by Meridian Investments I, LLC, a Minnesota limited
liability company (the “applicant”), pursuant to Sections 27-29-1, et seq.,
Code of Alabama 1975, and other pertinent provisions of the Alabama Insurance
Code.
