Following a joint investigation by the Anniston Fire and Police Departments, and the State Fire Marshals Office, the cause of the fire at First Baptist Church in Anniston has been determined to be arson. Investigators determined the church was burglarized prior to the setting of the fire last Friday night.
No further information regarding the investigation is being released at this time.
