A two-year-old child was killed Monday morning during a fire at their home.
Andy Drake Biggs of 915 Riderwood Drive died when fire heavily damaged the mobile home where he lived. The cause of the fire has been traced to a child playing with a burning candle.
Although a smoke alarm was present in the home, occupants of the home say they never heard the alarm sound.
The fire and death were investigated by local authorities, the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences and the State Fire Marshals Office.
