A 3:32 AM fire Sunday resulted in moderate damage to the cooking classroom of the Home Economics department at Brighton Middle School 3400 Brown Circle. The fire, discovered by a Brighton Police Officer, caused smoke and heat damage to the remainder of the building.
The fire remains under investigation by the Brighton Police Department; Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and the State Fire Marshals Office.
