Charlie Lee Bright, Raven Bright and Eddie James King were injured Monday night during a fire at Lot 5, W. T. Brown Trailer Park in Monroeville.  Marie Bright, mother of Charlie Lee Bright, discovered the fire after hearing a noise in the home.  The fire was reported to the Monroeville Fire Department at 9:28 PM January 6th.

Eddie James King, age 44, sustained injuries while rescuing Ms. Bright, age 26, and her child, age 4, from their burning mobile home.  Mr. King and Ms. Bright are in critical condition at University of South Alabama Burn Center.  The child was severely burned and has been transported to Shriners Hospital in Texas for treatment.

An investigation of the fire by the Monroeville Fire Department and Alabama State Fire Marshals Office revealed the fire originated in the master bedroom of the home and was caused by a portable electric heater.  The family reported having problems with the heater prior to the fire.
