One adult died this morning when fire destroyed the mobile home where they were sleeping. The identity of the victim is being withheld until completion of an autopsy by the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences.
The fire involved a small mobile home located on Sunset Circle in Lincoln. The fire was reported at 5:30 AM.
An investigation by the Lincoln Fire Department and the Alabama State Fire Marshals Office has identified the cause of the fire as combustibles too close to a kerosene heater. No smoke detectors were located in the home at the time of the fire.
