One child was killed Friday night April 25th during a fire at 1275 Crenshaw Road, Wetumpka. Symonne Brandi Lackey, age 7, was pronounced dead at the hospital in Wetumpka shortly after the fire was reported at 11:30 PM.
An investigation into the cause of the fire and death, by the Elmore County Sheriff’s Office and the Alabama State Fire Marshals Office, is continuing.
