A public hearing regarding the request of the Alabama Insurance Underwriting Association for a hearing on rate reductions and rule revisions will be held at 2:00 PM on May 2, 2005, in the McGowan Room of the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce, 451 Government Street, Mobile, Alabama.
The hearing will be to hear evidence regarding a proposed 20% reduction in overall rate level for fire and extended coverage, a proposed division of the current beach territory into two territories, the implementation of wind mitigation credits, and the adjustment of the formula credits for voluntary writing business in the area.
