Notice is hereby given that a hearing will be held at on Tuesday, March 06, 2007, in the offices of the Alabama Department of Insurance, 201 Monroe Street, Suite 1700, RSA Tower, Montgomery, Alabama, regarding the following matter:
An amendment to Regulation No. 136 [Chapter 482-1-136]. The purpose of the amended regulation is to clarify the notice requirements for non-renewal of coverage based upon an insurer’s decision to reduce its exposure to a potential catastrophic event. (5 pages)
Any person wishing to submit testimony at the hearing is requested to submit the testimony in writing to the Alabama Department of Insurance, Attention: Legal Division, Post Office Box 303351, Montgomery, Alabama 36130-3351. Any written submission of testimony prior to the hearing will not preclude anyone from making an oral or written presentation at the hearing.
