[Notice issued May 3, 2010]
The Alabama Department of Insurance (DOI) hereby gives notice of the issuance of a Request for Proposals (RFP) for qualified respondents to provide the DOI with the following professional services:
Contracts are contemplated to be awarded for the term October 1, 2010, through September 30, 2012. Responses to the RFP must be received not later than June 4, 2010, at 3:00 PM CDT. Each RFP is made up of three individual documents, as follows: The RFP, the basic contract contemplated (which is Exhibit “A” to the RFP), and a Disclosure Statement. All three documents must accompany any response.

Question: Where will the majority of the work be located? In Montgomery or Mobile?
Answer: Historically, a majority of the court reporting services will be required in Montgomery as the Department of Insurance is a state agency housed in Montgomery. There will be occasions where such services may be required outside of Montgomery. Please see the RFP and Exhibit A (the consulting contract) for details on expense reimbursement for services outside of the primary service area.
